MSc Psychology
👤 About Me – Nick Windsor
I'm not a guru. I'm not here to sell you a ten-step plan to happiness. I'm here because I've lived it—and I've seen too many men go through life with no map, no manual, and no backup.
My background's a bit of a mixed bag:
🔧 Army Sergeant and aircraft technician.
🔥 Watch Manager and Fire Service Trainer.
📘 MSc in Psychology from the University of Wolverhampton.
I know what it’s like to make decisions under pressure with no clear playbook. I've led crews into emergencies, coached teams through crisis, and built training programmes for high-risk environments. I’ve spent years balancing logic, risk, and leadership—when mistakes weren’t an option.
I’ve also lived close to the raw edge of mental health: suicide, ADHD, Bipolar, Autism. Not theory—real life. I know how hard it is to keep showing up when you're barely holding it together.
When my partner hit menopause, none of that experience made it easier. But it did teach me this: silence makes everything worse.
The book Authentic Men came from breaking that silence—based on research with nine men who shared their stories so others wouldn't have to guess what’s normal or suffer alone.
This site is the next step. Where theory meets real life.
Where you'll find practical frameworks—values work, emotional regulation tools, communication strategies—that actually hold up when everything feels like it's falling apart. Built from ACT, Positive Psychology, lived experience, and sheer necessity.
Right now, it’s just me—the research, the real talk, and the resources I’m building so you can skip the trial-and-error and get straight to what works. Men's circles and workshops are on the way as this grows.
No woo-woo. No fixing. Just honest strategies and grounded support—for men ready to stop pretending everything’s fine and start building something real.
